17 SLSU Infanta students receive laptops from Provincial Government of Quezon

Seventeen enrolled students at Southern Luzon State University - Infanta Campus under the Project T.I.K.A.S (Tungo sa Integrasyon ng Karunungan at Abilidad ng mga Student IPs) are now full scholars of the One Family, One College Graduate Scholarship Program of the Provincial Government of Quezon.

These students, who belong to indigenous groups, joined the 150 beneficiaries in receiving individual laptops from the Provincial Government of Quezon on February 9. The students were accompanied by Asst. Prof. Jan Marie Lubuguin of SLSU Infanta Campus and Nealvon Brayce Nolledo of the STAN Office, General Nakar, Quezon, during the distribution at the Quezon Convention Center in Lucena City.

The scholarship program reflects the ongoing partnership between SLSU and the Provincial Government of Quezon that was formed through Project T.I.K.A.S., an initiative that was part of the approved institutional research, “Empowering Indigenous Peoples through Higher Education: A Multi-Sectoral Initiative for Career Exploration, Readiness, College Admission and Holistic Success.”

Led by Dr. Noreen P. Echague and the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), with Dr. Frederick T. Villa as the institutional partner, Project T.I.K.A.S. seeks to provide inclusive and transformative educational opportunities for indigenous youth.
