Designated record custodians from the different campuses, colleges, and offices underwent in-house training from April 7 to 8.
The two-day training tackled records counter disaster preparedness and business continuity. Through the initiative of the Records Office of Southern Luzon State University, resource speakers from the National Archives of the Philippines (NAP) impart their knowledge and expertise on the subject.
Mr. Gerald F. Requesto, Training Specialist II under the NAP Training and Information Division, discussed the overview of records disaster preparedness and business continuity. Meanwhile, Ms. Ma. Noida V. Bañares, Senior Archivist under the NAP Archives Preservation Division, focused on the disaster response and recovery.
During the workshop proper, the participants assessed and analyzed their records according to prioritization, among others.
With the training, the employees, particularly the records custodians, can equip themselves with knowledge and put it into practice when disaster occurs
