Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) has opened new global opportunities for its students through a partnership with Interskills Development Foundation, Inc., marked by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony and orientation held at Lucban, Quezon, Philippines, January 26.
Explored by the Resource Linkages Office and coordinated by the International Affairs and External Linkages Office, the Interskills Development Foundation introduced the IMPACT internship program, offering cross-cultural training and placements with reputable Japanese companies. Its orientation was attended by Program Chairs, OJT Coordinators, and students from the College of Administration, Business, Hospitality and Accountancy (CABHA), College of Agriculture (CAg), and College of Industrial Technology (CIT), together with representatives from the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS). While the initial briefing highlighted specific departments, the internship program is open to students from all colleges, who are likewise encouraged to register.
To qualify for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements: they must be at least 18 years old, Filipino citizens, in good academic standing, and physically, mentally, and emotionally fit for international travel. The IMPACT Program is open to students who have completed at least 75% of their units or are currently in their 4th year or graduating status. In addition, applicants are required to secure parental consent and an official endorsement from their Program Chair before proceeding with this opportunity.
