On November 7, the Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) conducted a presentation on the New System of Grade Encoding to discuss its implementation and streamline the submission and processing of student grades.
With 183 faculty members as participants, the session focused on enhancing efficiency, ensuring data integrity, and standardizing academic grading procedures across all colleges and departments.
Mr. Francis Ervin Pasumbal, Head of MIS-ICT Office, presented the traditional grade encoding process and introduced the new multi-grade encoding feature, which allows faculty members to upload grades using Excel files. The feature aims to simplify the encoding process while ensuring accuracy and consistency in the computation of grades.
The introduction of the new system also opened up discussions on the printing and submission procedures of grades and other concerns.
The university reaffirmed its commitment to continuously enhancing its academic systems through collaboration among offices and the adoption of digital solutions that support quality assurance and operational efficiency.
Currently, the system will be implemented first in the Main Campus, while the satellite and extension services will follow.
