SLSU prepares for the opening of MS Biology

In preparation for the opening of the Master of Science in Biology (MS Biology) program, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) of the Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) conducted a benchmarking activity at the Cavite State University (CvSU) - Indang, and De La Salle University - Dasmariñas on February 26.

As part of the strategic planning and initiatives to open MS Biology, CAS faculty members gathered insights on curricular design, admission policies, research and extension agendas, faculty qualifications, program outcomes, thesis requirements, and institutional next practices from the two institutions offering graduate programs in biology.

The successful benchmarking activities were made possible through the cooperation of the two institutions, particularly Dr. Bettina Joyce P. Iligan, Dr. Ammie P. Ferrer, Dr. Arleen C. Panaligan, Dr. Lloyd O. Balinado, CvSU Biological Sciences Department faculty members, representatives of Dr. Irene Gueco and Dr. Maria Virginia G. Aguilar, Dir. Leonor T. Amacio, Dr. Evelyn R. Obo, Mr. Wilson Jacinto, Dr. Maria Theresa D. Gochuico, representatives of from the DLSU-D Human Resource Management Research Office and University Research Office, and the DLSU-D student ambassadors.
