Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) researchers are among the contributors to the recently launched book of the Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association, Inc. (PGCA), “Mental Health and Well-being Across Settings,” showcasing the university's commitment to advancing knowledge in guidance and counseling.
The book featured research studies from the country, including two articles from SLSU: (1) “Factors Affecting the Psychological Well-being of College Students in a State University” by Assoc. Prof. Gino A. Cabrera, Dr. Helene D. Daya, and Dr. Noreen P. Echague; (2) and Exploring the Relationships of Online Learning on University Students’ Mental Well-being during the COVID-19 Crisis” by Dr. Helene D. Daya.
Both articles are based on SLSU-funded research projects, demonstrating the university’s research capabilities and contributions to the field.
The book launch coincides with PGCA’s 60th Annual National Conference and 2025 International Conference, themed “PGCA Legacy: Stories to Conquer New Glories.” The conference celebrates six decades of PGCA’s commitment to advancing the guidance and counseling profession in the Philippines.
