Students from Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) proudly presented their undergraduate thesis titled “Evaluation of a Post-Jail Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program: A Framework for a Reintegration Aftercare Plan” at the 3rd International Student Research Colloquium.
The study was conducted by Dynah S. Arellano and Rima Liore P. Dejarme, under the guidance of their adviser, Prof. Gino A. Cabrera. The research addresses the critical gap in reintegration support for formerly incarcerated individuals recovering from substance abuse, proposing a comprehensive aftercare plan grounded in community-based rehabilitation principles.
The event was hosted by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education Dubai, under the theme “Exploring New Horizons in Liberal Arts.” It brought together student researchers from around the globe to showcase innovative ideas and foster academic exchange.
This achievement highlights SLSU Psychology’s commitment to academic excellence and social relevance in research.
