Dr. Cherry Favor, from SLSU-JGE Tagkawayan Campus, and Ms. Joy Therese Villon, from the College of Teacher Education, were formally inducted as Associate Members of the Department of Science and Technology - National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP) on March 12, 2024, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). Currently, the university boasts a total of twenty (20) faculty members holding Associate Memberships with NRCP.
As Associate Members of NRCP, Dr. Favor and Ms. Villon gain access to various benefits and privileges, including funding support for basic research projects, opportunities for capacity building and professional development, and involvement as experts and advisors in diverse advisory and consultancy services across sectors within the country.
