Southern Luzon State University, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office IV and the Municipal Gender and Development Office of Lucban, kickstarted the Women's Month Celebration through the "Kababaihang 4Ps ng Lucban, Parini Ka! Ikaw ang bida!" 4Ps Women Advocacy Campaign on March 4, 2025, at the SLSU Gymnasium in Lucban, Quezon.

The event started with the “Parikitang Kababaihang 4Ps,” a parade expressing support with the National Women’s Month Celebration, followed by the main program at the SLSU Gymnasium.

Dr. Leomar C. Miano, Director of Extension Services and SLSU GD Focal, provided a brief overview of women’s empowerment and addressed prevailing prejudices faced by women today. she encouraged the participants to be self-reliant and take charge of their own lives. Meanwhile, Ms. Mutya M. Rada, Municipal GD Focal, and MSWD Officer expressed gratitude to DSWD FO IV-A, SLSU, and the 4Ps Women of Lucban for their support of the event.

Moreover, Dr. Frederick T. Villa, the newly appointed SLSU President, affirmed his support for the municipality of Lucban and the department’s goal towards community development. Assuring the assistance of the university to their partners and the community.

In addition, Dr. Marissa C. Esperal, Vice President for Research, Extension, Production, Development, and Innovation, served as the resource speaker, shedding light on this year’s theme, “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas, Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan.” Dr. Esperal also introduced influential women in history who have made a lasting impact on society and showed women empowerment. She challenged the participants, to thrive so that one day, they would become part of the empowered women in history.
