The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office IV (CHEDRO IV) gave recognition to the Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) on Dec. 14, 2023, for the acknowledgement of the university’s achievement in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Stars Award and in its internationalization effort in community extension.
During the 2023 CHED CALABARZON IZN Awards, SLSU was recognized as one of the top four performing HEIs in internalization for community extension and was acknowledged for its unwavering support to the internalization of Philippine Higher Education through its exemplary initiatives and accomplishments, which resulted in the QS 3 Stars Award in September 2023.
In addition, SLSU received a certificate of appreciation from CHED for its steadfast support of the internationalization of Philippine higher education through its outstanding initiatives and achievements in achieving a high-quality education that is competitive worldwide.
Dr. Roland Calderon and Dr. Maria Fara Cadeliña of SLSU Lucena received the award.
