Congressman David “Jay-Jay” C. Suarez, district representative of the 2nd District of Quezon and deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, assured Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) that he would assist the university in various projects located at the different campuses.
During the courtesy visit of the university officials on May 13, 2024, Dr. Arvin N. Natividad, OIC-Director for Campus Operation; Engr. Melvin A. Makipagay, Co-Director of Planning and Development Office; Prof. Cerfred A. Alcantara, Campus Director-SLSU Catanauan Campus; and Roberto Dalamacion, Admin Aide I, led by the University President, Dr. Frederick T. Villa, Cong. Suarez presented to collaborate with the university on the following projects: (1) the construction of a covered court in the SLSU Tiaong Campus; (2) a three-story academic building for the SLSU Tiaong Campus; (3) the construction of the SLSU Lucena Campus Library; (4) the development of the library holdings of the SLSU Tiaong and Lucena City Campuses; (5) the procurement of computer sets in the SLSU Tiaong Campus; and (6) the construction of a road network for the SLSU Lucena Campus.
This assistance will allow SLSU to continue providing outstanding education to its students. The SLSU community is thankful for your constant support, Cong. Suarez! Also, thank you for the assistance of the entire Administrative Council and personnel.
