Group guidance is one of the services being offered by the SLSU Office of Student Affairs and Services, particularly by the Guidance, Counseling, and Testing Center. It aims to assist students in addressing and resolving their mental health and adjustment concerns through a group process approach. It also allows individuals the opportunity to interact with other students facing issues similar to their own.
On January 23, Prof. Alexandra Wanda L. Villon, OSAS Head for Guidance, Counseling and Testing Center facilitated a group guidance activity for a small of students from the Main Campus. Then, on January 25, Ms. Joanna Rodessa R. Capilitan, Guidance Counselor III and Prof. Gino A. Cabrera, OSAS Head for Career and Job Placement Services and Student Discipline conducted a similar activity at SLSU Lucena. After the activity, an evaluation meeting was held together with Prof. Vivian Mendoza, Campus Guidance Coordinator to form a baseline data for more campus-based wellness and socialization activities.
