The Office of International Affairs and External Linkages, led by Dr. Joanna Paula E. Verano, in partnership with Catalyste+ Canada, organized a extensive comprehensive training program on Point of Sale Automated Management System for the University's Management Information System - Information and Communications Technology (MIS-ICT) team.
The multi-month program aimed to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of the MIS-ICT’s programmers and staff, headed by aProf. Reynaldo V. Danganan, for the benefit of the Business Affairs Office (BAO) and its clients.
The training consisted of two phases:
Phase 1: Online training with virtual learning sessions and workshops, allowing participants to familiarize themselves with the system’s fundamentals.
Phase 2: Five-day face-to-face training, providing hands-on experience and direct interaction with the system under the guidance of Ms. Carmen Gagnon, an experienced advisor from Catalyste+. This phase enabled the team to apply theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios, troubleshoot real-time issues, and receive personalized feedback.
The customized Point-of-Sale Automated Management System was developed in collaboration with BAO and its Director, Dr. Claire Anne Yao, who suggested enhancements tailored to their specific needs and processes.
