On February 26, a virtual meeting marked the pre-implementation phase of a significant research project funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) CALABARZON, with counterpart funding from Bukid Amara and Southern Luzon State University (SLSU).
SLSU, as the implementing agency, shall determine the influence of LED supplemental lighting on the growth of Japanese melon (๐๐ถ๐ค๐ถ๐ฎ๐ช๐ด ๐๐ฆ๐ญ๐ฐ ๐ค๐ถ๐ญ๐ต๐ช๐ท๐ข๐ณ ๐๐ข๐ณ๐ญ๐ด ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ฏ) under low natural light conditions. The 12-month project has a total funding of PhP 1,861,560.
The project team is composed of faculty members from SLSU Tiaong campus, namely: Roy S. Dayo, Dr. Cleofe A. Calanasan, Ma. Isabel V. Caringal, and Aldo Shem Hanniel A. Quides.
