
Southern Luzon State (SLSU) through the Office of Extension Services (OES) successfully held the 2025 Institutional Extension Services Evaluation Committee (IESEC) Review for Extension Proposals on April 28 and 29, at the REPDI Training Center, REPDI Bldg., SLSU Main Campus, Lucban, Quezon.
The event evaluated a total of 24 extension proposals submitted by the various colleges and campuses. The proposals are designed to address the community needs and align with the university’s extension agenda, which is anchored to the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This batch of extension proposals particularly addresses areas such as health, education, sustainable agriculture, and livelihood.
The College of Allied Medicine (CAM) presented the highest number of proposals, with a total of five, followed by the College of Agriculture (CAg) and the College of Teacher Education (CTE), both presented four proposals. Meanwhile, the College of Administration, Business, Hospitality, and Accountancy (CABHA) presented three proposals, while the College of Engineering (CEn) and the SLSU Alabat Campus presented two proposals each. In addition, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), SLSU Gumaca Campus, SLSU Lucena Campus, and SLSU JGE Tagkawayan Campus all have one extension proposed.
The evaluation was led by Dr. Marissa C. Esperal, Vice President for Research, Extension, Production, Development, and Innovation, with Dr. Felino J. Gutierrez, Jr., OES Director. They were joined by esteemed faculty members, including Dr. Delia R. Babilonia of CAg, Dr. Claire Ann M. Yao, Dr. Sarah Dane B. Lising, and Dr. Jennifer Edytha J. Lagrazon from CABHA, Dr. Ma. Elna R. Cosejo, and aProf. Charly R. Lacorte from CAS, and Dr. Luis Miguel P. Saludez of CTE.
This internal evaluation ensures impactful and well-developed extension projects, which underscores the university’s mission to conduct excellent and responsive extension services.
