Sharing the same commitment to excellence in technology education, Hytec Power, Inc. hosted a two-day immersion training for free to the faculty members from the College of Industrial Technology (CIT) and the College of Engineering (CEN).
The training took place in two sessions on September 19–20 and September 26–27, bringing together a total of 30 educators across various engineering and technology disciplines. The first batch was attended by 16 faculty members from the fields of computer science, electronics, and information technology. Ms. Eleonor Rodriguez conducted a hands-on workshop in smart classroom technology, while Mr. Leandro Castillo delivered a lecture and demonstrated operations of equipment utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) technology.
Fourteen faculty members representing civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering and technology programs of the University attended the second session, conducted on September 26–27. They had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience operating an automated welding machine with sensors and cameras to monitor the process in real time.
The workshop marks a significant step in bridging the technology gap between academia and industry, providing the faculty members with valuable skills and knowledge in digitalization and automation. The university aims to utilize such technology in order to leverage the learning performance of students in alignment with industry standards.
