The local government unit of Tiaong, Quezon headed by Mayor Vincent Arjay M. Mea, pledged a total of Php 2.5 million for the infrastructure projects of the Southern Luzon State University Tiaong Campus.
On October 4, Engr. Aira P. Hernandez and Engr. Maria Theresa D. Mayo of the Municipal Engineering Office of LGU Tiaong announced during a meeting with the Project Management Office (PMO) Director, Engr. Melvin Makipagay, SLSU Tiaong Director Alma Caringal and PMO engineers that the Tiaong LGU will donate Php 2.5 million for the campus’ main gate and fence. The donation increased from the initial donation of Php 1.1 million.
The Php 2.5M project shall be spent for the improvement of the main gate and 30-meter-long fence, and the construction of a guardhouse. Initially, engineers from PMO, Engr. Mark Kevin Makipagay and Engr. Joe Marino P. Abutal, measured the actual length of the existing fence and gate. Meanwhile, Architect Christian Rueda will prepare the final drawing plans for the improvement of the fence and gate, as well as the proposed guardhouse.
The implementation of this project will not only provide security and aesthetic main gates and fences for the campus, but will also establish our boundaries.
