Southern Luzon State University Board of Regents passed Resolution No. 01, s. 2024 approving the reappointment of Hon. Irvin M. Alcala as its Private Sector Representative (PSR) during the 154th Regular Board Meeting held on 25 September 2024, at Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite.
Since 2022, PSR Alcala has significantly contributed to the university’s initiatives which led to the successful implementation of various projects and programs for the students, faculty, non-teaching personnel and other stakeholders.
The ceremony symbolized the importance of the partnership and collaboration between an academic institution and the private sector.
The honorable members of the BOR namely, Commissioner Marita Canapi, University President Frederick T. Villa, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) OIC Regional Director Carmel Matabang, Faculty Regent Bernardita Brillon, Alumni Regent Benson Del Valle and PSR Nelson Licup graced the oath-taking ceremony with their presence.
