The improved alarm system was developed by SLSU College of Industrial Technology students Allan Vincent A. Anchorez, Charlie C. Carido, and Jimvoy D. Tomilloso from their research project, “Centralized Emergency Alarm System and Public Annunciator: A University Preparedness Innovation,” under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Edsel Paroan. The system played a critical role in ensuring a synchronized response and faster evacuation during the drill.
The annunciators were strategically installed at key locations: the SLSU Gate 1, the perimeter fence near GOMBURZA building facing the College of Administration, Business, Hospitality, and Accountancy, the Grand Stand, and the SLSU Gate 4.
