Mr. Jomar Saif Baudin of the Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) College of Arts and Sciences and Dr. B.B.P. Hosmillo of the SLSU College of Teacher Education have recently made notable contributions to the University's creative work initiatives across various platforms.
Mr. Baudin launched his latest creative publication, “The Journal of Rex Morty and The Secrets of Echelon,” during the Manila International Book Fair from September 10-14 at the SMX Convention Center. Now in national circulation, his work further solidifies his status as a registered author under the National Book Development Board (NBDB).
In parallel, Dr. Hosmillo launched his new creative piece, “Moonlight Roof Run,” supported by EDCN PLAN Education, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange, and the Cultural Partnership Initiative. Earlier this year, Dr. Hosmillo’s poetry work “Conversion” appeared in the South Florida Poetry Journal and the “Deformation Sonnet” was published in The Lincoln Review, a prestigious international literary journal.
SLSU continues to intensify its efforts to promote and fund creative works. This year, the Office of Research Services and the Innovation and Technology Support Services Office called for proposals to support faculty and staff in producing creative outputs, including performances, public exhibitions, peer-reviewed designs, and literary publications.
