The Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) was recognized as the first runner-up during the 2023 FOI Awards under the State University and Colleges Category, held on Nov. 21, 2023.
The university’s contributions to the development and achievement of the Freedom of Information Program were recognized by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO). Additionally, it is said that SLSU has shown an exceptional dedication to accountability, transparency, and the advancement of FOI principles.
SLSU also received a plaque during the 2021 FOI Awards for being the second runner-up in the SUC category on Nov. 25, 2021.
