As part of the preparation for the upcoming online enrollment of Southern Luzon State University's satellite campuses, a Campus Course Scheduling Training was successfully conducted on June 15.
The initiative aims to ensure the accurate and efficient encoding of class schedules in alignment with the online enrollment process currently implemented at the Main Campus. The activity was spearheaded by Mr. Francis Ervin F. Pasumbal of the Management Information Systems and Information and Communications Technology (MIS-ICT) Office, who provided overall coordination and system administration support throughout the conduct of the training.
The account distribution process was led by Mr. Jedd Wilzon G. Borgonia, Information Systems Analyst II, who facilitated the dissemination of user accounts and ensured that all participants were able to access the scheduling system prior to the training proper.
Two designated System Administrators, Mr. Gil Joseph D. Obdianela and Mr. Jeremeiah S. Nilooban, were assigned to support the clustered satellite campuses during the training by assisting participants with system access, account concerns, and technical troubleshooting.
Presented by Mr. John Rusty M. De Mesa, Information Systems Analyst I, this first session focused on the proper encoding of regular class schedules, ensuring consistency and accuracy in course offerings and timetable management across campuses.
Facilitated by Mr. Franz Joseph A. Abuel, Computer Programmer 1, the second session discussed the procedures and guidelines for encoding and managing team teaching schedules within the system.
The training provided participants with practical knowledge and hands-on guidance to help ensure a smooth and successful implementation of the university’s online enrollment process across all satellite campuses.
The training was attended by program chairs and designated academic personnel from the following campuses: Alabat Campus, Catanauan Campus, Gumaca Campus, Infanta Campus, Lucena Campus, Tiaong Campus, Tayabas Campus, JGE Tagkawayan Campus, and Polillo Campus. Meanwhile, additional training sessions will be conducted in the coming weeks to further enhance system utilization and address other enrollment-related processes.
Through continuous capacity-building initiatives, Southern Luzon State University remains committed to improving academic operations and delivering efficient digital services to its stakeholders.
