Southern Luzon State University (SLSU), through its Knowledge Management Office (KMO), brought researchers and stakeholders together through TUGON, or Transforming University-generated research into Governance-Oriented Networks, as part of the University’s 2026 Science, Technology, and Innovation Week activities.

The stakeholder forum provided SLSU faculty researchers and students with a platform to present selected policy briefs and engage organizations whose mandates and programs are connected to the issues addressed by the research.

The presentations covered areas including culture and local livelihoods, economic resilience, social empowerment, environmental and natural resource management, disaster risk reduction, education and learning innovation, workplace development, and language and communication.

Each presentation was complemented by stakeholder dialogue, providing opportunities to raise questions, offer recommendations, discuss the feasibility of proposed actions, identify related programs and policies, and explore possible areas of collaboration with the University.

More than presenting research findings, TUGON created a space where evidence could meet experience and institutional realities, strengthening the potential of SLSU research to inform programs, policies, projects, and community interventions.
