Private Sector Representative (PSR) of the SLSU Board of Regents, Hon. Nelson C. Licup, extended his blessings to the topnotchers and passers of the recently released licensure examination results.
On June 16, the College of Administration, Business, Hospitality, and Accountancy (CABHA), led by its Dean, Dr. Chona V. Cayabat, administered an event for the recognition of this year’s topnotchers and CPALE passers who took the examination once.
During the event, Dr. Cayabat, along with the Deans of the College of Allied Medicine, Dr. Rosalinda A. Abuy, and College of Teacher Education, Dr. Vanessa C. Zubieta, expressed their gratitude towards the support of the administration and Hon. Licup, as well as towards their students who passed and had given recognition to the university.
As a result of these milestones, the university was able to approve the provision of free review services for the nursing and teacher education students, as announced by Dr. Arvin N. Natividad, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs. The University President, Dr. Frederick T. Villa, and Dr. Natividad affirmed the support of the administration for the other colleges and campuses, provided that they submit their proposal.
Now in its third year of giving incentives to the topnotchers and passers, Hon. Licup provided cash gifts to a LPT secondary level topnotcher, three PNLE topnotchers, and seven CPALE first-time takers and passers.
Greatly influenced by his late father and former SLSU BOR member, Dr. Roberto S. Licup, Hon. Licup and his family served and assisted SLSU, among which are classrooms, scholarships, and laboratory equipment.
