Hon. Nelson C. Licup officially took his oath for a second term as the Private Sector Representative (PSR) to the Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) Board of Regents during its 3rd Quarter (158th) Regular Meeting held on 12 November 2025 at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Central Office in Diliman, Quezon City.
The oath-taking ceremony was graced by distinguished members of the Board, including newly appointed CHED Commissioner Myrna Q. Mallari, Hon. Frederick T. Villa, Hon. Zaldy L. Gariguez, Hon. Carmel P. Matabang, Hon. Emelita P. Bagsit, Hon. Gino A. Cabrera, Hon. Jan Angelo Claierx O. Paderon, and Hon. Irvin M. Alcala. Engr. Loupel B. Gueta, CHED Region IV-A Representative, also attended as a resource person, underscoring the shared commitment to working together during the occasion.
Throughout his tenure, he has made significant contributions to the growth and development of SLSU through his visionary initiatives, generous donations and financial support for various programs and projects, and active efforts in forging partnerships with private organizations.
PSR Licup’s continued presence on the Board is expected to further support SLSU’s pursuit of academic excellence, innovation, and inclusive development.
