To facilitate the endorsement of graduating households to the LGU’s as part of the After-Care Program in line with the Kilos Unlad Framework of DSWD, the SLSU-Extension Services held the Pugay Tagumpay Garduation Ceremony on December 7, 2022 at SLSU Gymnasium Lucban, Quezon.
The activity aims to celebrate and to summarize the success and experience of household beneficiaries through conduct of Seminar on “Payak, Masaya at Matatag na Pamilya” and testimonial sessions.
The seminar “Payak, Masaya at Matatag na Pamilya” was facilitated by Prof. Fides Joyce O. Llegado, faculty of SLSU-College of Arts and Sciences. Prof. Llegado started her discussion through Aristotle’s famous quotation, “Knowing oneself is the beginning of all wisdom”, which implied that having knowledge and good health is important before starting a family for it will serve as the foundation.
Further, testimonials were delivered by two Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4P’s) monitored child. Both claimed that 4P’s helped them to finish college and to alleviate poverty. They extend their gratitude to the 4P’s and hoped that many beneficiaries will use the program for the betterment of their family and community.
The activity was successfully conducted and attended by 520 participants from the 280 graduating 4P’s families.
