The Supreme Student Council Federation (SSCF), Records Office of Southern Luzon State University (SLSU), and the Office of the University Board Secretary (UBS) partnered on March 26 to conduct the Student Caravan Freedom of Information (FOI).
At the request of the SSCF President, Hon. Izza Mae de Guzman, the event was held to benefit the student researchers by providing them with essential data-gathering skills via direct access to government information.
Ms. Krizia Casey P. Avejar, Chief of the Communications and Capacity Development Division, under the Freedom of Information-Program Management Office (FOI-PMO) of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), served provided overview of the FOI Program. Meanwhile Mr. Robin Ricohermoso, Creative Arts Specialist of the team walkthrough the FOI process.
The successful event registered more than 500 students onsite. Moreover, to accommodate 3rd and 4th-year students and other interested particpants, the event was made live via Facebook.
Yesterday, the SLSU Records Office and the Office of the UBS organized an orientation on the Electronic Freedom of Information (eFOI) Portal for the SLSU Administrative Council, which enabled them to effectively perform their roles as FOI decision makers, evaluators, and document and record custodians.
