November 9, 2023 |Tanggol Kalikasan Inc. a non-stock, non-profit, public interest environmental law office in the Philippines, presented the Institute of Environmental Governance (IEG) and Environmental Justice Sector Reform Project (EJSRP) to SLSU OIC-President Dr. Nilo H. Dator.
Tanggol Kalikasan Inc. has been an active partner of SLSU through the Office of Extension Services, with the university being the first established Institute of Environmental Governance (IEG) Center on 2004. Tanggol Kalikasan also presented the Environment Justice Sector Reform Project (EJRP) which aims to enhance biodiversity conservation actions and ensure the protection of the remaining wildlife in the habitats by raising awareness and strengthening the capacity and technical skills of the local government officials on environmental governance and law enforcement as mandated to them. The third phase of this project catered to the provinces along the shore of the Philippine Rise.ย

Asis Perez, Senior Legal Adviser of Tanggol Kalikasan, Nicholas Bruscato from the US Department of the Interior- International Technical Program Assistance Program (USDOI-ITAP), and SLSU VP for Research and Extension Dr. Marissa Esperal, and SLSU IEG Coordinator Ms. Arceli Obmerga.
